International Albinism Awareness Day Tanzania - National Event
The main national Albinism Awareness Day Event in Tanzania will take place in Dar es Salaam this year. Participating in the event will be a wide range of partners including Standing Voice, The Tanzania Albinism Society, the Govt of Tanzania and others.
People with albinism from all over Tanzania will attend.
The event will begin with a celebratory procession through the streets of Dar Es Salaam and culminate with a series of performances and speeches.
During the event Standing Voice will be running free health services (Dermatology and Optometry clinics) for people with albinism from a marquee.
Standing Voice will also be sending a drama and music group to Dar es Salaam to perform in front of the Guest of Honour, the President of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan. The group (all persons with albinism) have created a series of theatrical performances and songs tackling the dangers of skin cancer

The Umoja Centre IAAD celebrations 2021
Standing Voice will be hosting our main IAAD celebrations at the Umoja Training Centre (UTC) on Ukerewe Island this year. The event will start at 8am with a procession through Nansio Town and will end at the UTC and Tanzania Albinism Society office where performances and speeches will be made to the community..
The event will be followed by a series of free vocational training workshops for people with albinism and their families in Music, Radio Production, Drama, Batik cloth production, Tailoring and more.
