International Albinism Awareness Day Malawi - National Event
This event is a collaboration between many stakeholders in Malawi including: Govt of Malawi / Association of Persons with Albinism in Malawi (APAM) / Standing Voice / UN Women and Beyond Suncare.
The main national IAAD event this year will take place in the city of Nkhotakota, Malawi. People with albinism from all over Malawi are expected to attend.
This is an in-person event that will include a celebratory procession through the town, live performances, speeches and free health services for people with albinism
Standing Voice will be delivering free Dermatology Clinics for all people with albinism who attend the event
Presidential speeches will take place between 11am-12pm. This year’s guest of honor will be the President of Malawi and more.

IAAD celebration EU Lunch
To mark Albinism Awareness day 2021 the European Union will host a special IAAD lunch. The event will include special performances and speeches by persons with albinism

International Albinism Awareness Day live television panel discussion
To mark International Albinism Awareness Day the Malawi Broadcasting Channel (MBC) will host a special one-off TV programme to promote discussion and expose the positive lives of people with albinism in Malawi.
TV Programme name: DateA - Exposing the positive lives of people with albinism.
On the panel will be Standing Voice Country Director Bonface Massah and United Nations Malawi Resident Coordinator Maria Jose Torres Macho.
Joining discussion as part of the audience will be representatives from various Govts ministries, UN agencies and leaders from the Association of Persons with Albinism in Malawi.
Audience participation is by invitation only, however you can tune in live on MBC
